Because there are lots of lovely spots to land here on Styrsö it’s the perfect place for anyone wanting to go out on a paddling tour by kayak or SUP. Thanks to our proximity to other islands and skerries there’s a good chance you’ll find some rocks or a beach all of your own.
Borrow kayak or SUP
Styrsö Hostel has both kayaks and SUPs you can hire during your stay. At the moment we have five double kayaks, a single kayak and three SUPs. If you are staying at the hostel use of the SUP or kayak is included, but you’ll need to book in the kiosk here before you set off.
Normally a tour around the island takes about one hour to paddle on an SUP, if weather conditions are good. If you’re paddling in a kayak however it will take around 30 minutes. The Småholmarna, Burholmarna and Långholmarna islands are close by and you’ll be able to find lots of pretty rocky outcrops and beaches to land on.
